Koko Crater Regional Park, HI
A quick but challenging hike, especially if you decide to do it around noon…
0 falls due to the very diligent way we climbed. And by we I mean me, Nicole conquered this like the local she is, and by diligent I mean I was staring at the ground the entire climb up. There are parts of it that my mother and the risk averse population out there would not enjoy.
1 man carrying up multiple 2x4s to repair steps. Its clear this happens often but pray for those poor (but probably super fit) souls that do this.
360 degree views from the top — and not 360 unobstructed-but-not-that-great views, 360 degree-can-you-stop-saying-wow-Suzi-we-get-it views.
Pounds of sweat lost? Midday excursion + Seattlite not used to warmth = who the heck knows, but wouldn’t it be great if it were the 5 put on from all the vacation cheats?!
3 minutes total to dry the sweat at the top due to the most friendly aggressive breeze. Yes you read that right, it was friendly and aggressive.
If you want to read the information ahead of time, go here. But just go on the hike. Its under 2 miles and you need to exercise in between all that beach and bar time.
Thank you Nicole for pretending you were tired to when we stopped time and after time on the climb up.
